Simple ways to earn cash
for the Holiday Budget
I know the Holiday’s get everyone into a tissy. It’s not about gifts or how much money you spend…yada yada yada…I get it. I know what Christmas means to me and to my family, still nice to have extra cash, I don’t care who you are. So let’s get started, here are some extra ways to earn some cash whether it’s all year round or a few months before the holidays.
Have you head of the app called shopkick? If not you should def download it. You get “kicks” for just walking in the door of places like Target, Walmart, Kohls. You can trade in your “kicks” for giftcards to these same places. So if you’re finding that you go shopping a lot this app is definitely one to download and use. You get kicks also for scanning certain items.
This website if you have a hot minute can also get you giftcards and you can earn swagbucks for certain tasks you complete. There are daily tasks such as the daily poll, crave, watch, surveys, shopping, etc. You simply do these tasks and turn in your swagbucks for giftcards. Sign up for your swagbucks account here: http://www.swagbucks.com/p/register?rb=21496005
Target always has buy 3 and get a $5 giftcard, or buy 5 and get $10 giftcard. Save all your giftcards you receive until the end of the year and use them for gifts. These are everyday items you can pick up that your family needs, such as toiletries, medicines, vitamins, school supplies, and even some big ticket items.

Sell your old stuff
You can pull out your kids old toys and clothes you or your family no longer wear and sell on sites such as facebook marketplace, or in your local area facebook groups such as swap and sell. You can also use sites such as craigslist, ebay and apps like offer up. I prefer to sell through facebook personally though.
Advertise your skills on social media
You can offer services to your friends and aquaintences such as babysitting, landscaping, housecleaning, etc. Depending on your experience and backgroundand you may be able to offer other services as well. For example, if you are a good baker, offer to sell baked goods to your close friends and family to give out as giftbaskets for the holidays. If you are a photographer, offer to do family photos for christmas cards. If you’re good with animals offer to pet sit.
Depending on where you live and if its not pouring rain like it does here in the pacific northwest, you can hold a garage sale to get rid of your old items you no longer use or wear. Remember signage is everything. I had a garage sale a few years back and I had people who said they never garage sale come to my sale because of my signage. Make it fun and interesting!! Remember to always engage customers!
